Cheri Yasodaku

Stotra · Telugu · Krishna · by Annamacharya

Cheri Yasodaku sisu vitadu, dharuni Brahmaku dandriyu nitadu

He is the baby who came to Yashoda; he is also the father of Brahma, creator of the earth.

Solasi chuchinanu suryachandrulanu, lali vedachalledu lakshanudu, nilichina niluvuna nikhiladevatala, kaliginchu suralaganivo yitadu

With a languid glance he scatters the sun and moon with grace; just standing where he stands, he is the mine from which all the gods come forth.

Mataladinanu mariyajandamulu, kotulu vodameti gunarasi, neetagu nurpula nikhilavedamulu, chatuva nureti samudra mitadu

When he speaks, crores of universes spring forth; he is a heap of virtues. He is the ocean from whose gentle breathing all the Vedas well up.

Mungita bolasina mohana matmala, bonginche ghanapurushudu, sangati mavanti saranagatulaku, nangamu Sri Venkatadhipu ditadu

Playing so charmingly in the courtyard, he is the great Person who makes souls overflow with joy; to those like us who take refuge in him, he is our very own, Sri Venkatadhipa.
