बजरंग बाण

निश्चय प्रेम प्रतीति ते, बिनय करैं सनमान।
तेहि के कारज सकल सुभ, सिद्ध करैं हनुमान॥Nishchay prem pratiti te, binay karain sanman. Tehi ke karaj sakal subh, siddh karain Hanuman.
Whoever prays with firm resolve, love and faith, and with reverence, Hanuman brings all their good works to success.
जो दृढ़ निश्चय, प्रेम और विश्वास के साथ सम्मानपूर्वक विनती करता है, हनुमान जी उसके सब शुभ कार्य सिद्ध करते हैं।

जय हनुमंत संत हितकारी।
सुन लीजै प्रभु अरज हमारी॥Jai Hanumant sant hitkari. Sun lijai Prabhu araj hamari.
Victory to Hanuman, who cares for the good of the saints. Lord, please hear our prayer.
संतों का हित करने वाले हनुमान जी की जय। हे प्रभु, हमारी विनती सुन लीजिए।

जन के काज बिलंब न कीजै।
आतुर दौरि महा सुख दीजै॥Jan ke kaj bilamb na kijai. Atur dauri maha sukh dijai.
Do not delay in your devotee’s work; come running at once and give great joy.
अपने भक्त के काम में देर मत कीजिए; जल्दी से दौड़कर आइए और महान सुख दीजिए।

जैसे कूदि सिंधु महिपारा।
सुरसा बदन पैठि बिस्तारा॥Jaise koodi sindhu mahipara. Sursa badan paithi bistara.
Just as you leapt across the ocean, and entered Surasa’s mouth as she stretched it wide,
जैसे आपने कूदकर समुद्र पार किया, और फैले हुए सुरसा के मुख में प्रवेश किया,

आगे जाय लंकिनी रोका।
मारेहु लात गई सुरलोका॥Age jay Lankini roka. Marehu lat gai surloka.
and when Lankini blocked your way further on, you struck her and she went to heaven,
आगे जाने पर लंकिनी ने रोका, तो आपने उसे लात मारी और वह स्वर्गलोक चली गई,

जाय बिभीषन को सुख दीन्हा।
सीता निरखि परमपद लीन्हा॥Jay Bibhishan ko sukh dinha. Sita nirakhi parampad linha.
you went and gave joy to Vibhishana, and seeing Sita, you attained the highest bliss.
आपने जाकर विभीषण को सुख दिया, और सीता जी के दर्शन करके परम पद पाया।

बाग उजारि सिंधु महँ बोरा।
अति आतुर जमकातर तोरा॥Bag ujari sindhu mahan bora. Ati atur Jamkatar tora.
You laid waste the garden and flung it into the sea, and swiftly broke the demon guards, fearsome as Yama’s dagger.
आपने बाग उजाड़कर समुद्र में डुबो दिया, और बड़ी तेज़ी से यम की कटार जैसे राक्षसों को तोड़ डाला।

अक्षय कुमार मारि संहारा।
लूम लपेटि लंक को जारा॥Akshay Kumar mari sanhara. Loom lapeti Lank ko jara.
You slew Akshay Kumar, and with your tail wrapped in cloth, you set Lanka on fire.
आपने अक्षय कुमार को मार डाला, और पूँछ लपेटकर लंका को जला दिया।

लाह समान लंक जरि गई।
जय जय धुनि सुरपुर नभ भई॥Lah saman Lank jari gai. Jai jai dhuni surpur nabh bhai.
Lanka burned like lac, and cries of victory rang out in the heavens.
लंका लाख की तरह जल गई, और स्वर्ग और आकाश में जय-जयकार की ध्वनि गूँज उठी।

अब बिलंब केहि कारन स्वामी।
कृपा करहु उर अंतरयामी॥Ab bilamb kehi karan Swami. Kripa karahu ur antaryami.
So why the delay now, Lord? Be gracious, you who know what is in every heart.
हे स्वामी, अब किस कारण देर कर रहे हैं? हे अंतर्यामी, कृपा कीजिए।

जय जय लखन प्रान के दाता।
आतुर ह्वै दुख करहु निपाता॥Jai jai Lakhan pran ke data. Atur hvai dukh karahu nipata.
Victory, victory to you who gave Lakshman back his life. Hurry and destroy my sorrow.
लक्ष्मण को प्राण देने वाले की जय, जय! शीघ्र आकर मेरे दुःख का नाश कीजिए।

जै हनुमान जयति बलसागर।
सुर समूह समरथ भटनागर॥Jai Hanuman jayati balsagar. Sur samooh samrath bhatnagar.
Victory to Hanuman, victory to the ocean of strength, the mighty champion among the gods.
हनुमान जी की जय, बल के सागर की जय; आप देवताओं के समूह में समर्थ और श्रेष्ठ योद्धा हैं।

ॐ हनु हनु हनु हनुमंत हठीले।
बैरिहि मारु बज्र की कीले॥Om hanu hanu hanu Hanumant hathile. Bairihi maru bajra ki kile.
Om, strike, strike, strike, determined Hanuman! Strike the enemy with blows as hard as the thunderbolt.
ॐ, हे हठीले हनुमान, मारो, मारो, मारो! शत्रु को वज्र जैसी कीलों से मारो।

ॐ ह्रीं ह्रीं ह्रीं हनुमंत कपीसा।
ॐ हुं हुं हुं हनु अरि उर सीसा॥Om hreem hreem hreem Hanumant Kapisa. Om hun hun hun hanu ari ur sisa.
Om hreem hreem hreem, Hanuman, lord of the monkeys; Om hum hum hum, strike the enemy’s heart and head.
ॐ ह्रीं ह्रीं ह्रीं, हे कपीश हनुमान; ॐ हुं हुं हुं, शत्रु के हृदय और सिर पर प्रहार करो।

शंकरसुवन बीर हनुमंता॥Jai Anjani kumar balvanta. Shankarsuvan bir Hanumanta.
Victory to Anjani’s mighty son, brave Hanuman, born of Shankar.
बलवान अंजनि-कुमार की जय; शंकर-सुवन वीर हनुमान की जय।

बदन कराल काल कुल घालक।
राम सहाय सदा प्रतिपालक॥Badan karal kal kul ghalak. Ram sahay sada pratipalak.
Fearsome-faced, destroyer even of Death’s own clan, helper of Ram, you are our constant protector.
आपका मुख विकराल है, आप काल के कुल का भी नाश करने वाले हैं; राम के सहायक और सदा रक्षा करने वाले हैं।

भूत, प्रेत, पिसाच, निसाचर।
अगिन बेताल काल मारी मर॥Bhoot, pret, pisach, nisachar. Agin Betal kal mari mar.
Ghosts, spirits, ghouls and night-stalkers, fire-spirits, Betals, death and plague:
भूत, प्रेत, पिशाच, निशाचर, अग्नि-बेताल, काल और महामारी,

इन्हें मारु, तोहि सपथ राम की।
राखउ नाथ मरजाद नाम की॥Inhen maru, tohi sapath Ram ki. Rakhau Nath marjad nam ki.
strike them down, I bind you by Ram’s oath. Lord, uphold the honour of your name.
इन्हें मारो, तुम्हें राम की शपथ है। हे नाथ, अपने नाम की मर्यादा रखो।

सत्य होहु हरि सपथ पाइ कै।
राम दूत धरु मारु धाइ कै॥Satya hohu Hari sapath pai kai. Ram doot dharu maru dhai kai.
Bound by Hari’s oath, prove it true: messenger of Ram, rush in, seize them and strike.
हरि की शपथ पाकर उसे सत्य करो; हे राम-दूत, दौड़कर पकड़ो और मारो।

जय जय जय हनुमंत अगाधा।
दुख पावत जन केहि अपराधा॥Jai jai jai Hanumant agadha. Dukh pavat jan kehi apradha.
Victory, victory, victory to Hanuman, whose depths no one can fathom. For what fault is your devotee suffering?
अगाध हनुमान जी की जय, जय, जय! आपका भक्त किस अपराध से दुःख पा रहा है?

पूजा जप तप नेम अचारा।
नहिं जानत हौं दास तुम्हारा॥Pooja jap tap nem achara. Nahin janat haun das tumhara.
I, your servant, know nothing of worship, chanting, austerity, vows or ritual.
मैं आपका दास पूजा, जप, तप, नियम और आचार कुछ नहीं जानता।

बन उपबन मग गिरि गृह माहीं।
तुम्हरे बल हम डरपत नाहीं॥Ban upban mag giri grih mahin. Tumhre bal ham darpat nahin.
In forests and groves, on roads, on mountains and at home, by your strength we have no fear.
वन, उपवन, रास्ते, पर्वत और घर में, आपके बल से हम नहीं डरते।

जनकसुता हरि दास कहावौ।
ताकी सपथ बिलंब न लावौ॥Janaksuta Hari das kahavau. Taki sapath bilamb na lavau.
You are called the servant of Sita, Janaka’s daughter, and of Hari; by their oath, do not delay.
आप जनकसुता सीता और हरि के दास कहलाते हैं; उनकी शपथ है, देर मत लगाइए।

जै जै जै धुनि होत अकासा।
सुमिरत होय दुसह दुख नासा॥Jai jai jai dhuni hot akasa. Sumirat hoy dusah dukh nasa.
Cries of victory fill the sky; remembering you destroys unbearable sorrow.
आकाश में जय-जयकार की ध्वनि होती है; आपका स्मरण करते ही असहनीय दुःख नष्ट हो जाते हैं।

चरन पकरि, कर जोरि मनावौं।
यहि अवसर अब केहि गोहरावौं॥Charan pakari, kar jori manavaun. Yahi avsar ab kehi goharavaun.
Holding your feet, with folded hands I plead with you: at a time like this, whom else can I call?
चरण पकड़कर, हाथ जोड़कर मैं आपको मनाता हूँ; इस समय अब मैं और किसे पुकारूँ?

उठु, उठु, चलु, तोहि राम दुहाई।
पायँ परौं, कर जोरि मनाई॥Uthu, uthu, chalu, tohi Ram duhai. Payan paraun, kar jori manai.
Rise, rise, come, I implore you in Ram’s name! I fall at your feet and plead with folded hands.
उठो, उठो, चलो, तुम्हें राम की दुहाई है! मैं पाँव पड़ता हूँ और हाथ जोड़कर मनाता हूँ।

ॐ चं चं चं चं चपल चलंता।
ॐ हनु हनु हनु हनु हनुमंता॥Om cham cham cham cham chapal chalanta. Om hanu hanu hanu hanu Hanumanta.
Om cham cham cham cham, you who move so swiftly; Om, strike, strike, strike, strike, Hanuman!
ॐ चं चं चं चं, फुर्ती से चलने वाले; ॐ मारो, मारो, मारो, मारो, हे हनुमान!

ॐ हं हं हाँक देत कपि चंचल।
ॐ सं सं सहमि पराने खल दल॥Om ham ham hank det kapi chanchal. Om sam sam sahami parane khal dal.
Om ham ham, the restless monkey lets out a roar; Om sam sam, the hordes of the wicked flee in terror.
ॐ हं हं, चंचल कपि हुंकार भरते हैं; ॐ सं सं, दुष्टों के दल डरकर भाग जाते हैं।

अपने जन को तुरत उबारौ।
सुमिरत होय आनंद हमारौ॥Apne jan ko turat ubarau. Sumirat hoy anand hamarau.
Rescue your devotee at once; remembering you brings us joy.
अपने भक्त को तुरंत उबारिए; आपका स्मरण करते ही हमें आनंद होता है।

यह बजरंग बाण जेहि मारै।
ताहि कहौ फिरि कौन उबारै॥Yah Bajrang Ban jehi marai. Tahi kahau phiri kaun ubarai.
Whoever is struck by this Bajrang Baan, tell me, who else could save them?
यह बजरंग बाण जिसे मारे, बताइए फिर उसे कौन बचा सकता है?

पाठ करै बजरंग बाण की।
हनुमत रक्षा करै प्रान की॥Path karai Bajrang Ban ki. Hanumat raksha karai pran ki.
Whoever recites the Bajrang Baan, Hanuman protects their life.
जो बजरंग बाण का पाठ करता है, हनुमान जी उसके प्राणों की रक्षा करते हैं।

यह बजरंग बाण जो जापै।
तासों भूत प्रेत सब काँपै॥Yah Bajrang Ban jo japai. Tason bhoot pret sab kanpai.
Whoever chants this Bajrang Baan, all ghosts and spirits tremble before them.
जो यह बजरंग बाण जपता है, उससे सब भूत-प्रेत काँपते हैं।

धूप देय जो जपै हमेसा।
ताके तन नहिं रहै कलेसा॥Dhoop dey jo japai hamesa. Take tan nahin rahai kalesa.
Whoever offers incense and chants it always, no suffering remains in their body.
जो धूप देकर इसे हमेशा जपता है, उसके शरीर में कोई कष्ट नहीं रहता।

उर प्रतीति दृढ़, सरन ह्वै, पाठ करै धरि ध्यान।
बाधा सब हर, करैं सब काम सफल हनुमान॥Ur pratiti dridh, saran hvai, path karai dhari dhyan. Badha sab har, karain sab kam saphal Hanuman.
Whoever, with firm faith in the heart, takes refuge and recites this with full attention, Hanuman removes all their obstacles and makes all their work succeed.
जो हृदय में दृढ़ विश्वास रखकर, शरण में आकर, ध्यान से इसका पाठ करता है, हनुमान जी उसकी सब बाधाएँ हरकर सब काम सफल करते हैं।
