1. दुर्गा दुर्गार्तिशमनी दुर्गापद्विनिवारिणी।
   दुर्गमच्छेदिनी दुर्गसाधिनी दुर्गनाशिनी॥

   Durga durgartishamani durgapadvinivarini, durgamachchhedini durgasadhini durganashini.

   Durga, who calms dire distress, wards off dire calamities, cuts through difficulties, accomplishes what is hard, and destroys every hardship.

   दुर्गा, जो कठिन पीड़ा शांत करती हैं, बड़ी विपत्तियाँ दूर करती हैं, कठिनाइयों को काटती हैं, कठिन काम पूरे करती हैं और हर संकट का नाश करती हैं।

2. दुर्गतोद्धारिणी दुर्गनिहन्त्री दुर्गमापहा।
   दुर्गमज्ञानदा दुर्गदैत्यलोकदवानला॥

   Durgatoddharini durganihantri durgamapaha, durgamajnanada durgadaityalokadavanala.

   She lifts up those in distress, slays stubborn foes, removes difficulty, gives knowledge hard to gain, and is a forest fire to the world of wicked demons.

   वे दुखियों का उद्धार करती हैं, कठोर शत्रुओं को मारती हैं, कठिनाई दूर करती हैं, दुर्लभ ज्ञान देती हैं और दुष्ट दैत्यों के संसार के लिए दावानल हैं।

3. दुर्गमा दुर्गमालोका दुर्गमात्मस्वरूपिणी।
   दुर्गमार्गप्रदा दुर्गमविद्या दुर्गमाश्रिता॥

   Durgama durgamaloka durgamatmasvarupini, durgamargaprada durgamavidya durgamashrita.

   She is hard to reach, her light hard to perceive, the self that is hard to know; she shows the way through hardship, is the knowledge hard to attain, and the refuge in hard times.

   वे दुर्गम हैं, उनका प्रकाश कठिनता से दिखता है, वे कठिनता से जानी जाने वाली आत्मा हैं; वे कठिन समय में राह दिखाती हैं, दुर्लभ विद्या हैं और कठिनाई में आश्रय हैं।

4. दुर्गमज्ञानसंस्थाना दुर्गमध्यानभासिनी।
   दुर्गमोहा दुर्गमगा दुर्गमार्थस्वरूपिणी॥

   Durgamajnanasamsthana durgamadhyanabhasini, durgamoha durgamaga durgamarthasvarupini.

   She dwells in knowledge hard to reach, shines in deep meditation, is beyond delusion, goes where none can go, and is the meaning that is hard to grasp.

   वे दुर्लभ ज्ञान में रहती हैं, गहरे ध्यान में चमकती हैं, मोह से परे हैं, दुर्गम स्थानों तक जाती हैं और कठिनता से समझ आने वाले अर्थ का रूप हैं।

5. दुर्गमासुरसंहन्त्री दुर्गमायुधधारिणी।
   दुर्गमाङ्गी दुर्गमता दुर्गम्या दुर्गमेश्वरी॥

   Durgamasurasamhantri durgamayudhadharini, durgamangi durgamata durgamya durgameshvari.

   She slays the demon Durgama, bears weapons none can withstand; her form is beyond reach; she is the inaccessible one, hard to approach, and queen of all that is unreachable.

   वे दुर्गमासुर का संहार करती हैं, अजेय अस्त्र धारण करती हैं; उनके अंग पहुँच से परे हैं; वे दुर्गम, कठिनता से प्राप्त होने वाली और दुर्गम स्थानों की ईश्वरी हैं।

6. दुर्गभीमा दुर्गभामा दुर्गभा दुर्गदारिणी।
   नामावलिमिमां यस्तु दुर्गाया मम मानवः।
   पठेत् सर्वभयान्मुक्तो भविष्यति न संशयः॥

   Durgabhima durgabhama durgabha durgadarini, namavalimimam yastu durgaya mama manavah, pathet sarvabhayanmukto bhavishyati na samshayah.

   She is fearsome, radiant and the very light in hard times, and tears hardship apart. Whoever recites this garland of my names as Durga will surely be freed from every fear.

   वे संकट में भयंकर, संकट में तेजस्वी, संकट में प्रकाश और संकट को चीरने वाली हैं। जो मनुष्य मुझ दुर्गा की इस नामावली का पाठ करेगा, वह निःसंदेह सब भयों से मुक्त हो जाएगा।
