1. যে আনিল প্রেমধন করুণা প্রচুর।
   হেন প্রভু কোথা গেলা আচার্য ঠাকুর॥

   Je anilo premdhon koruna prochur. Heno probhu kotha gela Acharjo Thakur.

   He brought the treasure of divine love with boundless mercy; where has such a master gone, Acharya Thakur?

   जो असीम करुणा से प्रेम-धन लेकर आए, ऐसे प्रभु आचार्य ठाकुर कहाँ चले गए?

2. কাঁহা মোর স্বরূপ রূপ কাঁহা সনাতন।
   কাঁহা দাস রঘুনাথ পতিতপাবন॥

   Kanha mor Shorup Rup kanha Shonaton. Kanha Dash Roghunath potitopabon.

   Where are my Svarupa and Rupa, where is Sanatana? Where is Raghunatha Das, the saviour of the fallen?

   कहाँ हैं मेरे स्वरूप और रूप, कहाँ हैं सनातन? कहाँ हैं पतितों के उद्धारक रघुनाथ दास?

3. কাঁহা মোর ভট্টযুগ কাঁহা কবিরাজ।
   এককালে কোথা গেল গোরা নটরাজ॥

   Kanha mor Bhottojug kanha Kobiraj. Ekkale kotha gelo Gora Notoraj.

   Where are my two Bhattas, where is Kaviraja? Where, all at once, has Gora, the king of dancers, gone?

   कहाँ हैं मेरे दोनों भट्ट, कहाँ हैं कविराज? नर्तकों के राजा गौरा एकाएक कहाँ चले गए?

4. পাষাণে কুটিব মাথা অনলে পশিব।
   গৌরাঙ্গ গুণের নিধি কোথা গেলে পাব॥

   Pashane kutibo matha onole poshibo. Gourango guner nidhi kotha gele pabo.

   I will beat my head on stone, I will enter fire. Where can I go to find Gauranga, the treasure of all virtues?

   मैं पत्थर पर सिर पटकूँगा, आग में कूद जाऊँगा। गुणों के भंडार गौरांग को कहाँ जाकर पाऊँ?

5. সে সব সঙ্গীর সঙ্গে যে কৈল বিলাস।
   সে সঙ্গ না পাঞা কান্দে নরোত্তমদাস॥

   She shob shongir shonge je koilo bilash. She shongo na pana kande Norottomdash.

   Without the company of those companions with whom the Lord shared his pastimes, Narottama Das weeps.

   जिन साथियों के साथ प्रभु ने लीलाएँ कीं, उनका संग न पाकर नरोत्तम दास रोता है।
