राघवेन्द्र स्तोत्र

श्रीपूर्णबोधगुरुतीर्थपयोब्धिपारा कामारिमाक्षविषमाक्षशिरः स्पृशन्ती।
पूर्वोत्तरामिततरङ्गचरत्सुहंसा देवालिसेवितपराङ्घ्रिपयोजलग्ना॥Shripurnabodhagurutirthapayobdhipara kamarimakshavishamakshashirah sprishanti, purvottaramitatarangacharatsuhamsa devalisevitaparanghripayojalagna.
Guru Raghavendra’s words are a sacred river flowing from the ocean of the teaching of Purnabodha (Madhvacharya). It is revered even by the greatest gods; good souls glide like swans on its endless waves of argument, and it clings to the Lord’s lotus feet, which the gods serve.
गुरु राघवेन्द्र की वाणी एक पवित्र नदी है जो पूर्णबोध (मध्वाचार्य) के सिद्धांत रूपी सागर से निकली है। बड़े-बड़े देवता भी इसका आदर करते हैं, सज्जन हंसों की तरह इसकी अनगिनत तर्क-लहरों पर विचरते हैं, और यह देवताओं से सेवित प्रभु के चरण कमलों से जुड़ी है।

जीवेशभेदगुणपूर्तिजगत्सुसत्त्वनीचोच्चभावमुखनक्रगणैः समेता।
दुर्वाद्यजापतिगिलैर्गुरुराघवेन्द्रवाग्देवतासरिदमुं विमली करोतु॥Jiveshabhedagunapurtijagatsusattvanichochchabhavamukhanakraganaih sameta, durvadyajapatigilairgururaghavendravagdevatasaridamum vimali karotu.
Its crocodiles are its teachings: the difference between soul and God, the Lord’s fullness of virtues, the reality of the world, and the ranking of souls from low to high; they swallow those who argue falsely. May this river of Guru Raghavendra’s words make me pure.
जीव और ईश्वर का भेद, भगवान के गुणों की पूर्णता, जगत की सत्यता और जीवों का ऊँच-नीच का क्रम, ये इसके सिद्धांत रूपी मगरमच्छ हैं, जो कुतर्कियों को निगल जाते हैं। गुरु राघवेन्द्र की वाणी की यह नदी मुझे पवित्र करे।

श्रीराघवेन्द्रः सकलप्रदाता स्वपादकञ्जद्वयभक्तिमद्भ्यः।
अघाद्रिसम्भेदनदृष्टिवज्रः क्षमासुरेन्द्रोऽवतु मां सदाऽयम्॥Shriraghavendrah sakalapradata svapadakanjadvayabhaktimadbhyah, aghadrisambhedanadrishtivajrah kshamasurendrovatu mam sadayam.
May Sri Raghavendra always protect me: he grants everything to those devoted to his lotus feet, his gaze is a thunderbolt that shatters mountains of sin, and he is like Indra among holy men on earth.
जो अपने चरण कमलों के भक्तों को सब कुछ देते हैं, जिनकी दृष्टि पापों के पहाड़ तोड़ने वाला वज्र है, और जो धरती के देवताओं (ब्राह्मणों) में इन्द्र जैसे हैं, वे श्री राघवेन्द्र सदा मेरी रक्षा करें।

श्रीराघवेन्द्रो हरिपादकञ्जनिषेवणाल्लब्धसमस्तसम्पत्।
देवस्वभावो दिविजद्रुमोऽयमिष्टप्रदो मे सततं स भूयात्॥Shriraghavendro haripadakanjanishevanallabdhasamastasampat, devasvabhavo divijadrumoyamishtaprado me satatam sa bhuyat.
Sri Raghavendra gained every treasure by serving Hari’s lotus feet. Godlike in nature, he is a wish-fulfilling tree of heaven; may he always grant my wishes.
श्री राघवेन्द्र ने हरि के चरण कमलों की सेवा से सारी संपदा पाई है। वे देव स्वभाव वाले और स्वर्ग के कल्पवृक्ष जैसे हैं; वे सदा मेरी मनोकामनाएँ पूरी करें।

भव्यस्वरूपो भवदुःखतूलसङ्घाग्निचर्यः सुखधैर्यशाली।
समस्तदुष्टग्रहनिग्रहेशो दुरत्ययोपप्लवसिन्धुसेतुः॥Bhavyasvarupo bhavaduhkhatulasanghagnicharyah sukhadhairyashali, samastadushtagrahanigrahesho duratyayopaplavasindhusetuh.
Noble in form, he is the fire that burns the cotton heap of worldly sorrow; full of joy and steadiness, master over every evil planet, a bridge across an ocean of hard-to-cross troubles.
उनका स्वरूप मंगलमय है; वे संसार के दुःख रूपी रूई के ढेर को जलाने वाली आग हैं, सुख और धैर्य से भरे हैं, सब बुरे ग्रहों को वश में रखने वाले हैं, और कठिन संकटों के सागर पर पुल हैं।

निरस्तदोषो निरवद्यवेषः प्रत्यर्थिमूकत्त्वनिदानभाषः।
विद्वत्परिज्ञेयमहाविशेषो वाग्वैखरीनिर्जितभव्यशेषः॥Nirastadosho niravadyaveshah pratyarthimukattvanidanabhashah, vidvatparijneyamahavishesho vagvaikharinirjitabhavyasheshah.
Free of every fault and flawless in appearance, his speech leaves opponents speechless; his greatness is known to the learned, and his eloquence surpasses even Shesha.
वे सब दोषों से रहित हैं, उनका वेश निर्दोष है, उनकी वाणी विरोधियों को निरुत्तर कर देती है; उनकी महिमा विद्वान ही जानते हैं, और उनकी वाक्पटुता शेषनाग से भी बढ़कर है।

सन्तानसम्पत्परिशुद्धभक्तिविज्ञानवाग्देहसुपाटवादीन्।
दत्त्वा शरीरोत्थसमस्तदोषान् हत्त्वा स नोऽव्याद्गुरुराघवेन्द्रः॥Santanasampatparishuddhabhaktivijnanavagdehasupatavadin, dattva sharirotthasamastadoshan hattva sa novyadgururaghavendrah.
Granting children, wealth, pure devotion, wisdom, eloquence and a strong body, and removing every ill of the body, may Guru Raghavendra protect us.
संतान, धन, शुद्ध भक्ति, ज्ञान, वाणी और शरीर की शक्ति देकर, और शरीर के सारे दोष मिटाकर, गुरु राघवेन्द्र हमारी रक्षा करें।

यत्पादोदकसञ्चयः सुरनदीमुख्यापगासादितासङ्ख्यानुत्तमपुण्यसङ्घविलसत्प्रख्यातपुण्यावहः।
दुस्तापत्रयनाशनो भुवि महावन्ध्यासुपुत्रप्रदो व्यङ्गस्वङ्गसमृद्धिदो ग्रहमहापापापहस्तं श्रये॥Yatpadodakasanchayah suranadimukhyapagasaditasankhyanuttamapunyasanghavilasatprakhyatapunyavahah, dustapatrayanashano bhuvi mahavandhyasuputraprado vyangasvangasamriddhido grahamahapapapahastam shraye.
I take refuge in him whose foot-water carries the merit of bathing in the Ganga and countless holy rivers; it ends the three kinds of suffering, gives good sons even to the barren, makes the disabled whole and prosperous, and removes planetary troubles and great sins.
मैं उनकी शरण लेता हूँ जिनके चरणों का जल गंगा आदि अनगिनत पवित्र नदियों के स्नान का पुण्य देता है, तीनों तापों को नष्ट करता है, बाँझ को भी अच्छा पुत्र देता है, अपंग को स्वस्थ और समृद्ध बनाता है, और ग्रह-दोष तथा बड़े पाप हर लेता है।

यत्पादकञ्जरजसा परिभूषिताङ्गा यत्पादपद्ममधुपायितमानसा ये।
यत्पादपद्मपरिकीर्तनजीर्णवाचस्तद्दर्शनं दुरितकाननदावभूतम्॥Yatpadakanjarajasa paribhushitanga yatpadapadmamadhupayitamanasa ye, yatpadapadmaparikirtanajirnavachastaddarshanam duritakananadavabhutam.
Those whose bodies are adorned with the dust of his lotus feet, whose minds drink the honey of those feet like bees, whose voices are worn out praising them: the very sight of them is a forest fire to the forest of sins.
जिनके अंग उनके चरण कमलों की धूल से सजे हैं, जिनका मन भौंरे की तरह उन चरणों का मधु पीता है, और जिनकी वाणी उन चरणों का कीर्तन करते-करते थक गई है, उनका दर्शन ही पापों के जंगल के लिए दावानल है।

सर्वतन्त्रस्वतन्त्रोऽसौ श्रीमध्वमतवर्धनः।
विजयीन्द्रकराब्जोत्थसुधीन्द्रवरपुत्रकः॥Sarvatantrasvatantrosau shrimadhvamatavardhanah, vijayindrakarabjotthasudhindravaraputrakah.
He is a master of every school of thought, the one who spread the teaching of Sri Madhva, the dear disciple of Sudhindra, who was himself raised by Vijayindra’s hands.
वे सब शास्त्रों में स्वतंत्र (निपुण) हैं, श्री मध्व के सिद्धांत को बढ़ाने वाले हैं, और विजयीन्द्र के हाथों से उत्पन्न सुधीन्द्र के श्रेष्ठ शिष्य हैं।

श्रीराघवेन्द्रो यतिराट् गुरुर्मे स्याद्भयापहः।
ज्ञानभक्तिसुपुत्रायुर्यशःश्रीपुण्यवर्धनः॥Shriraghavendro yatirat gururme syadbhayapahah, jnanabhaktisuputrayuryashahshripunyavardhanah.
May Sri Raghavendra, king of ascetics and my guru, remove my fears and increase my knowledge, devotion, good children, long life, fame, fortune and merit.
यतियों के राजा, मेरे गुरु श्री राघवेन्द्र मेरा भय दूर करें और ज्ञान, भक्ति, अच्छी संतान, आयु, यश, लक्ष्मी और पुण्य बढ़ाएँ।

प्रतिवादिजयस्वान्तभेदचिह्नादरो गुरुः।
सर्वविद्याप्रवीणोऽन्यो राघवेन्द्रान्न विद्यते॥Prativadijayasvantabhedachihnadaro guruh, sarvavidyapravinonyo raghavendranna vidyate.
He wins over opposing debaters, holds the doctrine of difference dear at heart and has mastered every branch of learning: there is no other guru like Raghavendra.
जो विरोधी वादियों पर विजय पाते हैं, भेद सिद्धांत को हृदय से मानते हैं और सब विद्याओं में निपुण हैं, ऐसा दूसरा गुरु राघवेन्द्र के सिवा कोई नहीं।

अपरोक्षीकृतश्रीशः समुपेक्षितभावजः।
अपेक्षितप्रदाताऽन्यो राघवेन्द्रान्न विद्यते॥Aparokshikritashrishah samupekshitabhavajah, apekshitapradatanyo raghavendranna vidyate.
He has directly seen Vishnu, Lakshmi’s lord, and set aside desire; there is no one but Raghavendra who so grants what is sought.
जिन्होंने लक्ष्मीपति भगवान का साक्षात दर्शन किया है और कामदेव को त्याग दिया है, ऐसा मनचाहा देने वाला राघवेन्द्र के सिवा कोई नहीं।

दयादाक्षिण्यवैराग्यवाक्पाटवमुखाङ्कितः।
शापानुग्रहशक्तोऽन्यो राघवेन्द्रान्न विद्यते॥Dayadakshinyavairagyavakpatavamukhankitah, shapanugrahashaktonyo raghavendranna vidyate.
Marked by compassion, kindness, detachment and eloquence, and able both to curse and to bless: there is none other like Raghavendra.
दया, उदारता, वैराग्य और वाक्पटुता से युक्त, और शाप तथा वरदान दोनों देने में समर्थ, ऐसा राघवेन्द्र के सिवा कोई नहीं।

अज्ञानविस्मृतिभ्रान्तिसंशयापस्मृतिक्षयाः।
तन्द्राकम्पवचःकौण्ठ्यमुखा ये चेन्द्रियोद्भवाः।
दोषास्ते नाशमायान्ति राघवेन्द्रप्रसादतः॥Ajnanavismritibhrantisamshayapasmritikshayah, tandrakampavachahkaunthyamukha ye chendriyodbhavah, doshaste nashamayanti raghavendraprasadatah.
Ignorance, forgetfulness, confusion, doubt, loss of memory, drowsiness, trembling, faltering speech and other faults of the senses all vanish by Raghavendra’s grace.
अज्ञान, भूलना, भ्रम, संशय, स्मृति का नाश, आलस्य, कँपकँपी, वाणी का अटकना और इंद्रियों से पैदा होने वाले दूसरे दोष राघवेन्द्र की कृपा से नष्ट हो जाते हैं।

ओं श्रीराघवेन्द्राय नमः इत्यष्टाक्षरमन्त्रतः।
जपिताद्भावितान्नित्यमिष्टार्थाः स्युर्न संशयः॥Om shriraghavendraya namah ityashtaksharamantratah, japitadbhavitannityamishtarthah syurna samshayah.
By chanting and meditating daily on the eight-syllable mantra “Om Sri Raghavendraya namah”, one’s wishes are surely fulfilled.
“ॐ श्री राघवेन्द्राय नमः” इस आठ अक्षर के मंत्र का रोज़ जप और ध्यान करने से मनोकामनाएँ निश्चय ही पूरी होती हैं।

हन्तु नः कायजान् दोषानात्मात्मीयसमुद्भवान्।
सर्वानपि पुमर्थांश्च ददातु गुरुरात्मवित्॥Hantu nah kayajan doshanatmatmiyasamudbhavan, sarvanapi pumarthamshcha dadatu gururatmavit.
May the guru who knows the Self destroy the faults of our bodies and those that arise from ourselves and our own, and grant us all the goals of life.
आत्मज्ञानी गुरु हमारे शरीर से और हमसे तथा हमारे अपनों से पैदा होने वाले दोष नष्ट करें, और जीवन के सारे पुरुषार्थ दें।

इति कालत्रये नित्यं प्रार्थनां यः करोति सः।
इहामुत्राप्तसर्वेष्टो मोदते नात्र संशयः॥Iti kalatraye nityam prarthanam yah karoti sah, ihamutraptasarveshto modate natra samshayah.
Whoever offers this prayer daily at the three times of day gains every wish here and hereafter and lives in joy; there is no doubt.
जो रोज़ तीनों समय यह प्रार्थना करता है, वह इस लोक और परलोक में सारी इच्छाएँ पाकर आनंद में रहता है, इसमें संदेह नहीं।

अगम्यमहिमा लोके राघवेन्द्रो महायशाः।
श्रीमध्वमतदुग्धाब्धिचन्द्रोऽवतु सदाऽनघः॥Agamyamahima loke raghavendro mahayashah, shrimadhvamatadugdhabdhichandrovatu sadanaghah.
May Raghavendra protect us always: of great fame, his greatness beyond the world’s grasp, sinless, the moon that rose from the milk ocean of Sri Madhva’s teaching.
जिनकी महिमा संसार की समझ से परे है, जो महायशस्वी और निष्पाप हैं, और श्री मध्व के सिद्धांत रूपी क्षीरसागर के चंद्रमा हैं, वे राघवेन्द्र सदा रक्षा करें।

सर्वयात्राफलावाप्त्यै यथाशक्तिप्रदक्षिणम्।
करोमि तव सिद्धस्य बृन्दावनगतं जलम्।
शिरसा धारयाम्यद्य सर्वतीर्थफलाप्तये॥Sarvayatraphalavaptyai yathashaktipradakshinam, karomi tava siddhasya brindavanagatam jalam, shirasa dharayamyadya sarvatirthaphalaptaye.
To gain the fruit of every pilgrimage I walk around you as best I can; and to gain the merit of every holy place, today I place on my head the water from your Brindavana, perfected one.
सारी तीर्थयात्राओं का फल पाने के लिए मैं यथाशक्ति आपकी परिक्रमा करता हूँ, और सब तीर्थों का पुण्य पाने के लिए आज सिद्ध पुरुष, आपके वृंदावन का जल सिर पर धारण करता हूँ।

सर्वाभीष्टार्थसिद्ध्यर्थं नमस्कारं करोम्यहम्।
तव सङ्कीर्तनं वेदशास्त्रार्थज्ञानसिद्धये॥Sarvabhishtarthasiddhyartham namaskaram karomyaham, tava sankirtanam vedashastrarthajnanasiddhaye.
I bow to you so that all my wishes are fulfilled, and I sing your praise to gain knowledge of the meaning of the Vedas and scriptures.
सारी मनोकामनाएँ पूरी होने के लिए मैं आपको नमस्कार करता हूँ, और वेद-शास्त्रों का अर्थ जानने के लिए आपका कीर्तन करता हूँ।

संसारेऽक्षयसागरे प्रकृतितोऽगाधे सदा दुस्तरे सर्वावद्यजलग्रहैरनुपमैः कामादिभङ्गाकुले।
नानाविभ्रमदुर्भ्रमेऽमितभयस्तोमादिफेनोत्कटे दुःखोत्कृष्टविषे समुद्धर गुरो मा मग्नरूपं सदा॥Samsarekshayasagare prakrititogadhe sada dustare sarvavadyajalagrahairanupamaih kamadibhangakule, nanavibhramadurbhramemitabhayastomadiphenotkate duhkhotkrishtavishe samuddhara guro ma magnarupam sada.
O Guru, always lift me out, for I am drowning in the ocean of worldly life: endless, fathomless and hard to cross, full of crocodiles of every fault, tossed by waves of desire, whirling with confusion, foaming with countless fears, and with sorrow as its deadliest poison.
हे गुरु, मुझे सदा उबार लीजिए; मैं संसार के उस सागर में डूब रहा हूँ जो अनंत, अथाह और पार करने में कठिन है, जिसमें दोषों के मगरमच्छ हैं, काम आदि की लहरें हैं, भ्रम के भँवर हैं, अनगिनत भय का झाग है और दुःख ही सबसे घातक विष है।

राघवेन्द्रगुरुस्तोत्रं यः पठेद्भक्तिपूर्वकम्।
तस्य कुष्ठादिरोगाणां निवृत्तिस्त्वरया भवेत्॥Raghavendragurustotram yah pathedbhaktipurvakam, tasya kushthadiroganam nivrittistvaraya bhavet.
Whoever reads this hymn to Guru Raghavendra with devotion is quickly freed from leprosy and other diseases.
जो भक्ति से गुरु राघवेन्द्र का यह स्तोत्र पढ़ता है, उसके कुष्ठ आदि रोग जल्दी दूर हो जाते हैं।

अन्धोऽपि दिव्यदृष्टिः स्यादेडमूकोऽपि वाक्पतिः।
पूर्णायुः पूर्णसम्पत्तिः स्तोत्रस्यास्य जपाद्भवेत्॥Andhopi divyadrishtih syadedamukopi vakpatih, purnayuh purnasampattih stotrasyasya japadbhavet.
By chanting this hymn, even the blind gain divine sight, the deaf and mute become masters of speech, and one gains a full life and full prosperity.
इस स्तोत्र के जप से अंधे को भी दिव्य दृष्टि मिलती है, गूँगा-बहरा भी वाणी का स्वामी बनता है, और पूरी आयु तथा पूरी संपत्ति मिलती है।

यः पिबेज्जलमेतेन स्तोत्रेणैवाभिमन्त्रितम्।
तस्य कुक्षिगता दोषाः सर्वे नश्यन्ति तत्क्षणात्॥Yah pibejjalametena stotrenaivabhimantritam, tasya kukshigata doshah sarve nashyanti tatkshanat.
Whoever drinks water blessed with this hymn finds every ailment of the belly gone at once.
जो इस स्तोत्र से अभिमंत्रित जल पीता है, उसके पेट के सारे रोग उसी क्षण नष्ट हो जाते हैं।

यद्वृन्दावनमासाद्य पङ्गुः खञ्जोऽपि वा जनः।
स्तोत्रेणानेन यः कुर्यात्प्रदक्षिणनमस्कृती।
स जङ्घालो भवेदेव गुरुराजप्रसादतः॥Yadvrindavanamasadya panguh khanjopi va janah, stotrenanena yah kuryatpradakshinanamaskriti, sa janghalo bhavedeva gururajaprasadatah.
Even a lame or crippled person who comes to his Brindavana and circles and bows to it while reciting this hymn will become swift of foot, by the grace of the king of gurus.
लँगड़ा या अपंग व्यक्ति भी अगर उनके वृंदावन पर जाकर इस स्तोत्र के साथ परिक्रमा और नमस्कार करे, तो गुरुराज की कृपा से वह तेज़ चलने वाला हो जाता है।

सोमसूर्योपरागे च पुष्यार्कादिसमागमे।
योऽनुत्तममिदं स्तोत्रमष्टोत्तरशतं जपेत्।
भूतप्रेतपिशाचादिपीडा तस्य न जायते॥Somasuryoparage cha pushyarkadisamagame, yonuttamamidam stotramashtottarashatam japet, bhutapretapishachadipida tasya na jayate.
Whoever chants this supreme hymn 108 times during an eclipse of the moon or sun, or on a holy conjunction such as Pushya falling on a Sunday, is never troubled by ghosts and evil spirits.
जो चंद्र या सूर्य ग्रहण में, या रविपुष्य जैसे शुभ योग में इस उत्तम स्तोत्र का 108 बार जप करता है, उसे भूत, प्रेत, पिशाच आदि की पीड़ा नहीं होती।

एतत्स्तोत्रं समुच्चार्य गुरोर्वृन्दावनान्तिके।
दीपसंयोजनाज्ज्ञानं पुत्रलाभो भवेद्ध्रुवम्॥Etatstotram samuchcharya gurorvrindavanantike, dipasamyojanajjnanam putralabho bhaveddhruvam.
Reciting this hymn near the guru’s Brindavana and lighting a lamp there surely brings knowledge and the gift of a son.
गुरु के वृंदावन के पास यह स्तोत्र पढ़कर दीप जलाने से ज्ञान और पुत्र की प्राप्ति निश्चित होती है।

परवादिजयो दिव्यज्ञानभक्त्यादिवर्धनम्।
सर्वाभीष्टप्रवृद्धिः स्यान्नात्र कार्या विचारणा॥Paravadijayo divyajnanabhaktyadivardhanam, sarvabhishtapravriddhih syannatra karya vicharana.
One wins over opponents in debate, divine knowledge and devotion grow, and every wish thrives; there is nothing to doubt here.
विरोधियों पर जीत मिलती है, दिव्य ज्ञान और भक्ति बढ़ती है, और सारी इच्छाएँ फलती-फूलती हैं, इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं।

राजचोरमहाव्याघ्रसर्पनक्रादिपीडनम्।
न जायतेऽस्य स्तोत्रस्य प्रभावान्नात्र संशयः॥Rajachoramahavyaghrasarpanakradipidanam, na jayatesya stotrasya prabhavannatra samshayah.
By the power of this hymn one suffers no harm from kings, thieves, tigers, snakes, crocodiles and the like; there is no doubt.
इस स्तोत्र के प्रभाव से राजा, चोर, बाघ, साँप, मगरमच्छ आदि से कोई पीड़ा नहीं होती, इसमें संदेह नहीं।

यो भक्त्या गुरुराघवेन्द्रचरणद्वन्द्वं स्मरन् यः पठेत् स्तोत्रं दिव्यमिदं सदा न हि भवेत्तस्यासुखं किञ्चन।
किं त्विष्टार्थसमृद्धिरेव कमलानाथप्रसादोदयात् कीर्तिर्दिग्विदिता विभूतिरतुला साक्षी हयास्योऽत्र हि॥Yo bhaktya gururaghavendracharanadvandvam smaran yah pathet stotram divyamidam sada na hi bhavettasyasukham kinchana, kim tvishtarthasamriddhireva kamalanathaprasadodayat kirtirdigvidita vibhutiratula sakshi hayasyotra hi.
Whoever, remembering Guru Raghavendra’s feet with devotion, always reads this divine hymn will know no sorrow at all; by the grace of Vishnu, Lakshmi’s lord, his wishes flourish, his fame spreads everywhere and his wealth is unmatched. Hayagriva is witness to this.
जो भक्ति से गुरु राघवेन्द्र के चरणों को याद करते हुए सदा यह दिव्य स्तोत्र पढ़ता है, उसे कभी कोई दुःख नहीं होता; बल्कि लक्ष्मीपति की कृपा से उसकी इच्छाएँ पूरी होती हैं, यश चारों दिशाओं में फैलता है और अनुपम वैभव मिलता है। इसके साक्षी स्वयं हयग्रीव हैं।

इति श्रीराघवेन्द्रार्यगुरुराजप्रसादतः।
कृतं स्तोत्रमिदं पुण्यं श्रीमद्भिर्ह्यप्पणाभिधैः॥Iti shriraghavendraryagururajaprasadatah, kritam stotramidam punyam shrimadbhirhyappanabhidhaih.
Thus this holy hymn was composed by the revered Appanacharya, by the grace of the noble Sri Raghavendra, king of gurus.
इस तरह श्री राघवेन्द्र गुरुराज की कृपा से पूज्य अप्पणाचार्य ने यह पवित्र स्तोत्र रचा।

पूज्याय राघवेन्द्राय सत्यधर्मरताय च।
भजतां कल्पवृक्षाय नमतां कामधेनवे॥Pujyaya raghavendraya satyadharmarataya cha, bhajatam kalpavrikshaya namatam kamadhenave.
Salutations to the worshipful Raghavendra, devoted to truth and dharma, a wish-fulfilling tree to those who worship him and a wish-granting cow to those who bow to him.
सत्य और धर्म में लगे पूज्य राघवेन्द्र को नमस्कार, जो भजने वालों के लिए कल्पवृक्ष और नमन करने वालों के लिए कामधेनु हैं।

आपादमौलिपर्यन्तं गुरूणामाकृतिं स्मरेत्।
तेन विघ्नाः प्रणश्यन्ति सिद्ध्यन्ति च मनोरथाः॥Apadamauliparyantam gurunamakritim smaret, tena vighnah pranashyanti siddhyanti cha manorathah.
One should picture the guru’s form from feet to crown; then obstacles vanish and the heart’s wishes come true.
गुरु के रूप का चरणों से लेकर सिर तक स्मरण करना चाहिए; इससे विघ्न नष्ट होते हैं और मनोरथ पूरे होते हैं।

श्रीराघवेन्द्रगुरवे नमोऽत्यन्तदयालवे॥Durvadidhvantaravaye vaishnavendivarendave, shriraghavendragurave namotyantadayalave.
Salutations to the most compassionate Guru Sri Raghavendra, a sun to the darkness of false argument and a moon to the lotus-like devotees of Vishnu.
जो कुतर्कियों के अंधकार के लिए सूर्य और वैष्णव रूपी कमलों के लिए चंद्रमा हैं, उन परम दयालु गुरु श्री राघवेन्द्र को नमस्कार।

मूकोऽपि यत्प्रसादेन मुकुन्दशयनायते।
राजराजायते रिक्तो राघवेन्द्रं तमाश्रये॥Mukopi yatprasadena mukundashayanayate, rajarajayate rikto raghavendram tamashraye.
I take refuge in Raghavendra, by whose grace even the mute becomes eloquent as Shesha, Vishnu’s serpent bed, and even the penniless becomes rich as Kubera, king of wealth.
मैं उन राघवेन्द्र की शरण लेता हूँ जिनकी कृपा से गूँगा भी भगवान की शय्या शेषनाग जैसा वक्ता बन जाता है और निर्धन भी कुबेर जैसा धनी हो जाता है।
