1. श्री रामचन्द्र कृपालु भजु मन हरण भवभय दारुणं।
   नवकंज लोचन कंज मुख कर कंज पद कंजारुणं॥

   Shri Ramchandra kripalu bhaju man, haran bhavbhay darunam. Navkanj lochan, kanj mukh, kar kanj, pad kanjarunam.

   O mind, worship the compassionate Ramchandra, who removes the terrible fear of worldly life. His eyes are like fresh lotuses, and his face, hands and feet are like red lotuses.

   हे मन, कृपालु श्री रामचंद्र का भजन कर, जो संसार के भयंकर भय को हरने वाले हैं। उनके नेत्र नए कमल जैसे हैं, और मुख, हाथ व चरण लाल कमल के समान हैं।

2. कन्दर्प अगणित अमित छवि नव नील नीरद सुन्दरं।
   पटपीत मानहु तड़ित रुचि शुचि नौमि जनक सुतावरं॥

   Kandarp aganit amit chhavi, nav neel neerad sundaram. Patpeet manahu tadit ruchi shuchi, naumi Janak sutavaram.

   His beauty surpasses countless gods of love; he is lovely as a fresh dark rain cloud. His yellow robe gleams like lightning. I bow to the pure husband of Janaka’s daughter.

   उनकी छवि अनगिनत कामदेवों से बढ़कर है और वे नए नीले बादल जैसे सुंदर हैं। उनका पीतांबर बिजली-सा चमकता है। मैं जनकसुता के पवित्र पति को नमन करता हूँ।

3. भजु दीनबन्धु दिनेश दानव दैत्यवंश निकन्दनं।
   रघुनन्द आनन्दकन्द कोशलचन्द दशरथ नन्दनं॥

   Bhaju Deenbandhu Dinesh, daanav daityavansh nikandanam. Raghunand anandkand, Koshalchand Dashrath nandanam.

   Worship the friend of the humble, radiant as the sun, who uproots the demon clans; the joy of the Raghus, the root of bliss, the moon of Kosala, Dasharatha’s son.

   दीनों के बंधु, सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी, दानवों और दैत्यों के वंश का नाश करने वाले, रघुकुल के आनंद, आनंद के मूल, कोशल के चंद्रमा, दशरथनंदन का भजन कर।

4. सिर मुकुट कुंडल तिलक चारु उदारु अंग विभूषणं।
   आजानुभुज शर चाप धर संग्राम जित खरदूषणं॥

   Sir mukut kundal tilak charu, udaru ang vibhushanam. Aajanubhuj shar chaap dhar, sangram jit Khardushanam.

   A crown on his head, earrings and a lovely tilak, fine ornaments on his body; his arms reach his knees, he holds bow and arrows, and he defeated Khara and Dushana in battle.

   सिर पर मुकुट, कानों में कुंडल, माथे पर सुंदर तिलक और अंगों पर उत्तम आभूषण हैं। घुटनों तक लंबी भुजाओं में धनुष-बाण हैं, और उन्होंने युद्ध में खर-दूषण को जीता।

5. इति वदति तुलसीदास शंकर शेष मुनि मन रंजनं।
   मम हृदय कंज निवास कुरु कामादि खलदल गंजनं॥

   Iti vadati Tulsidas, Shankar Shesh muni man ranjanam. Mam hriday kanj nivas kuru, kamadi khaldal ganjanam.

   So says Tulsidas: you who delight the minds of Shiva, Shesha and the sages, dwell in the lotus of my heart and destroy the gang of desire and the other foes within.

   तुलसीदास कहते हैं: हे शंकर, शेष और मुनियों के मन को आनंद देने वाले, मेरे हृदय-कमल में निवास कीजिए और काम आदि दुष्टों के दल का नाश कीजिए।

6. मनु जाहिं राचेउ मिलिहि सो बरु सहज सुन्दर साँवरो।
   करुना निधान सुजान सीलु सनेहु जानत रावरो॥

   Manu jaahin raacheu milihi so baru sahaj sundar saanvaro. Karuna nidhan sujan seelu sanehu jaanat raavaro.

   Gauri blesses Sita: the naturally handsome, dark one on whom your heart is set will be your groom. He is a treasury of compassion and all-knowing, and he knows your virtue and your love.

   गौरी सीता जी को आशीर्वाद देती हैं: जिस सहज सुंदर साँवले वर पर तुम्हारा मन रीझा है, वही तुम्हें मिलेगा। वे करुणा के भंडार और सर्वज्ञ हैं, तुम्हारे शील और स्नेह को जानते हैं।

7. एहि भाँति गौरि असीस सुनि सिय सहित हियँ हरषीं अली।
   तुलसी भवानिहि पूजि पुनि पुनि मुदित मन मन्दिर चली॥

   Ehi bhaanti Gauri asees suni Siya sahit hiyan harashin ali. Tulsi Bhavanihi pooji puni puni mudit man mandir chali.

   Hearing Gauri’s blessing, Sita and her friends rejoiced at heart. Says Tulsi: worshipping Bhavani again and again, Sita returned to the palace with a joyful mind.

   गौरी का यह आशीर्वाद सुनकर सीता जी सहित सखियाँ हृदय में हर्षित हुईं। तुलसीदास कहते हैं, भवानी की बार-बार पूजा करके सीता जी प्रसन्न मन से महल को चलीं।

8. जानि गौरि अनुकूल सिय हिय हरषु न जाइ कहि।
   मंजुल मंगल मूल बाम अंग फरकन लगे॥

   Jaani Gauri anukool Siya hiya harashu na jaai kahi. Manjul mangal mool baam ang pharkan lage.

   Knowing Gauri was pleased with her, Sita’s joy was beyond words, and her left side began to throb, a lovely sign of good fortune.

   गौरी को अपने अनुकूल जानकर सीता जी के हृदय का हर्ष कहा नहीं जा सकता। सुंदर मंगलों के मूल उनके बाएँ अंग फड़कने लगे।
