1. அபகார நிந்தைபட் டுழலாதே, அறியாத வஞ்சரைக் குறியாதே, உபதேச மந்திரப் பொருளாலே, உனைநானி னைந்தருட் பெறுவேனோ.

   Abakaara nindhaipattu uzhalaadhe, ariyaadha vanjaraik kuriyaadhe, upadhesa mandhirap porulaale, unai naan ninaindharut peruveno.

   Without wandering about in harm and disgrace, without seeking out ignorant deceivers, may I, through the meaning of the mantra you taught me, meditate on you and receive your grace?

   नुकसान और निंदा में भटके बिना, अज्ञानी छलियों के पीछे गए बिना, क्या मैं आपके सिखाए मंत्र के अर्थ से आपका ध्यान करके आपकी कृपा पा सकूँगा?

2. இபமாமு கன்தனக் கிளையோனே, இமவான்ம டந்தையுத் தமிபாலா, ஜெபமாலை தந்தசற் குருநாதா, திருவாவி னன்குடிப் பெருமாளே.

   Ibamaamugan thanakku ilaiyone, imavaan madandhai uththami baalaa, jebamaalai thandha sarkurunaadhaa, thiruvaavinankudip perumaale.

   O younger brother of the great elephant-faced Ganesha! O son of the noble daughter of the Himalaya! O true guru who gave me the prayer beads! O great Lord of Tiruvavinankudi!

   हे महान गजमुख गणेश के छोटे भाई! हे हिमालय की श्रेष्ठ पुत्री के बालक! हे मुझे जपमाला देने वाले सद्गुरु! हे तिरुवाविनन्कुडि के महान प्रभु!
